ONE MAN HAS TAKEN CONTROL OF THE COURTROOM… AND IT ISN’T THE JUDGE.
Cop Steve Donohue (Bill Pullman) investigates a double homicide, finds the guilty man but ends up on trial himself. The villain is a sneering rat, outside the court chants a misled mob and the police force consists only of just men; this is a frustrating TV movie with no room for shades of gray. The filmmakers try to show how frustrating it is to see a perpetrator get away with murder, but what happens in the movie strains credibility. Pullman is always likeable, but his part isn’t very well written; Robert Loggia provides some authority, but not much else.
