After being exposed to gamma radiation, Bruce Banner (Eric Bana), a scientist, turns into a green giant whenever he loses his temper. Director Ang Lee shaped the entire movie like a comic book where the viewer is thrown from frame to frame as the story progresses. The film looks great; the cinematography is in a very discreet shade of green and the computer-animated Hulk is certainly impressive. But the writers make the mistake of getting too philosophical for their own good, resulting in an excessively long running time and a confusing climax. Bana is excellent as the hot-tempered researcher.
