High school graduate Felicity (Keri Russell) falls in love with Ben (Scott Speedman) who’s on his way to New York to study; she follows him to do the same and get his attention, but fellow student Noel (Scott Foley) turns out to be just as good a catch. Her constant vacillation between Ben and Noel became somewhat annoying, as did the show’s quiet style (everyone seemed to be whispering their lines), but Russell was very good as the naive girl who would mature over the years. Ian Gomez stood out in the supporting cast as the very gay coffee shop owner. Unexpected marriages and a violent shootout helped fight disappointing ratings, and when the finale came even time traveling was included.
