WINNER KILLS ALL.
Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) manipulates Jason Vorhees (Ken Kerzinger) into slaughtering teens on Elm Street; that’s supposed to make Freddy strong enough to mount a comeback. This is a fun idea on paper that took years to materialize; one hoped for something creative to come out of it, but the results are uneven. Decent enough visual effects and the movie gives its killers equal screen time, but the actors portraying the teens in jeopardy deliver boring performances and the set-up for this ultimate showdown is about as preposterous as they come.
2003-U.S. 97 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by Ronny Yu. Cast: Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger), Ken Kerzinger (Jason Vorhees), Monica Keena (Lori Campbell), Jason Ritter, Kelly Rowland, Christopher George Marquette.
Trivia: Kane Hodder, who played Jason in several Friday the 13th flicks, allegedly offered to play the killer again but another actor was chosen.
