Roughly ten years after That’s Entertainment! and its sequel, documentaries that collected the best stuff from countless MGM musicals, director Jack Haley, Jr. apparently felt there was a need for a chapter that only focused on the famous dance sequences of those old movies. Those hosting this documentary all know how to shake a tail feather and of course they get to prove it. Just like in the previous films the choices of clips are eclectic; we’re treated to some true rarities and a few other scenes that are nice but not equally memorable. Tossing in a few scenes from modern films like Fame and Flashdance is a pleasant way to round things off, and connect with the present.
