GET IN. GET OUT. GET EVEN.
A gang of thieves led by Charlie Croker (Mark Wahlberg) try to steal back $35 million in gold bars from the slimeball who double-crossed them. A pretty good remake of the classic 1969 heist movie that knows what to borrow and what to change. There are slow stretches, but the opening has a lot of tension and the ending delivers spectacular chases involving a bunch of Mini Coopers and a chopper. The motley thieves are quite engaging; Edward Norton plays the kind of character he can do in his sleep and Charlize Theron is watchable as a sexy safebreaker out for revenge.
