IT TAKES A BIG MAN TO COVER THIS TOWN.
When he’s assigned to cover the Toronto film festival, entertainment reporter Jiminy Glick (Martin Short) enthusiastically brings his family. Short and his fat suit move from Primetime Glick (2001-2003) to the vulgar character’s own movie. He claims it took 20 days to shoot and much of the dialogue was invented on the spot. I can believe that because it is too often obvious that everybody’s shooting from the hip. There’s a dull murder mystery, but Short is very funny and his impersonation of David Lynch actually fooled me at first.
