Resident Evil: Apocalypse

MY NAME IS ALICE AND I REMEMBER EVERYTHING.

Alice (Milla Jovovich), who survived the troubles inside The Hive, now fights for survival in Raccoon City that lies on top of the doomed facility; the whole place is contaminated. More zombies and shootouts in the dark corners of a nightmarish future world; the director obviously wants to be both a new George Romero as well as James Cameron. OK action scenes, and the brutal character of Nemesis is fun, but this is also much too dull, silly and poorly acted.

2004-Germany-France-Britain. 94 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by Alexander Witt. Screenplay: Paul Anderson. Cast: Milla Jovovich (Alice), Sienna Guillory (Jill Valentine), Oded Fehr (Carlos Olivera), Jared Harris, Thomas Kretschmann, Sophie Vavasseur.

Trivia: Followed by Resident Evil: Extinction (2007).
