ANYWHERE. ANYTHING. INSTANTLY.
At the age of 15, David Rice (Hayden Christensen) discovers that he has the supernatural ability to transport himself from one place to another within seconds. The concept tickles the imagination, but the filmmakers are unable to deliver. Those in the film who are “jumpers” don’t do much with their powers apart from visiting landmarks all over the world. They’re hunted by a mysterious group of people who want to kill them. The reason remains obscure and that lack of satisfaction mars most ingredients. Still, entertaining on a superficial level.
