Retired attorney Michael Kuzak (Harry Hamlin) takes a case where a man on death row stands a chance of being exonerated, but Michael needs his old firm to cover his back. One of the show’s old writers penned the teleplay for this reunion, eight years after L.A. Law was canceled, and it feels like old times. Most of the original characters are back in action at MacKenzie-Brackman and the fans get to know what’s going on in their lives; nice to see Hamlin and Susan Dey (who both left the show in the early ’90s) together again. No surprises here, but a pleasant, old-fashioned time killer.
