DEATH HAS NEVER BEEN CLOSER.
Sam Lawton (Nicholas D’Agosto) and several of his co-workers, including girlfriend Molly (Emma Bell), survive a disaster on a bridge only to learn that Death needs to have what he came for. Turns out that the destination wasn’t so final in the fourth movie; this chapter (once again in 3D) introduces a new cast of would-be victims (along with series veteran Tony Todd) and simply goes through the motions. Good-looking titles, though, and the final sequence connects with the original film in a clever way.
2011-U.S. 92 min. Color. Directed by Steven Quale. Cast: Nicholas D’Agosto (Sam Lawton), Emma Bell (Molly Harper), Miles Fisher (Peter Friedkin), Courtney B. Vance, Arlen Escarpeta, David Koechner… Tony Todd.
