She doesn’t give an “F”.
After getting dumped by her boyfriend, gold-digging middle school teacher Elizabeth Halsey (Cameron Diaz) sets her sights on a new target, a wealthy colleague (Justin Timberlake). This may sound like a sequel to Bad Santa (2003) and the films do share traits; Diaz’s teacher is also a completely ruthless low-life who’s supposed to be a role model but couldn’t care less. She’s actually perfect in that role, and so is Jason Segel as a laidback gym teacher who would be a good influence on her. Diaz’s transformation near the end of the film is hard to believe, but there’s plenty of laughs before that and a committed supporting cast.
