Back for war.
Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) and his ace team of mercenaries try to retrieve a case from a safe that was onboard a plane that went down in Albania. In this sequel, where CGI blood spatter is as frequent as silly one-liners (Arnie even gets to serve up two variants of “I’ll be back”), there’s still fun to be had from watching these old warriors blow things up. Jean-Claude Van Damme is an apt villain, but as in the original there’s too many lulls and even though the movie has a sense of humor none of the jokes are actually funny.
