Dirty Dancing

This film wasn’t just a box-office hit, but also had some cultural influence, not least on teenage girls. Based on the screenwriter’s personal experiences, the story focuses on a romance defying both parents and the establishment. Sexual heat and romance is skilfully woven into the dancing, and the two leads (both actual dancers) are well cast.
