Ghost

A LOVE THAT WILL LAST FOREVER.

ghostSam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) is killed during a mugging; stuck on Earth in a ghost-like state, he realizes that his girlfriend (Demi Moore) might also be in jeopardy and enlists the help of a medium (Whoopi Goldberg)… A huge hit in its time that unbelieavably won an Oscar for its cleverly assembled but formulaic script. Effective in the way it builds tension, humor and romance (thanks to the two leads, and that now-classic pottery wheel scene set to “Unchained Melody”). Goldberg is perfect as the con artist who finds out that she is able to contact spirits after all. But the twist is obvious from the start and the visual effects haven’t aged well.
