A TOP SECRET NUCLEAR SATELLITE. A TEAM OF INTERNATIONAL TERRORISTS. A GOVERNMENT HELD HOSTAGE. AN UNDETECTABLE MOVING HEADQUARTERS. ONLY ONE HERO STANDS IN THE WAY.
Casey Ryback (Steven Seagal) and his niece (Katherine Heigl) are traveling to Los Angeles to attend the funeral of her father when mercenaries hijack their train; it’s all connected to a secret military satellite weapon. The first movie was Die Hard on a ship, this one is Die Hard on a train. Everything you expect from an action flick set on a train happens; the bad guys are very similar to the ones in the original, only duller. Competent enough, but Seagal looks bored most of the time and there is absolutely zero charisma between him and Heigl.
